______________________________________ MONTHLY RECITAL
"Each month, Andreas encouraged pupils to play a piece or two in a recital. Although nerve wracking at first, this becomes, with experience, an event to enjoy and share with other students." -- Dorothy Hammel, 80 years old The monthly recital is an opportunity for students to display their skills for family and friends. Suprisingly, in the past, most students seem to look forward to the next recital, and are very excited about choosing new repertoire to display for family. Most recitals are somewhat casual, the Christmas recital being perhaps a little more formal. Some of the recitals have a brief reception following the performance. I usually ask families to bring some cookies and refreshments. Many of the children play the recitals so they can enjoy the sweets afterwards. Recitals take place in locations of
appropriate size, and accessible to members of the community. Here are some
video samples from a recital.

A very good performance.
